Bayou Cane Veterinary Hospital is a locally owned small animal clinic that has been providing exceptional veterinary care to pets in and around the Houma area since the 1960s. Originally established by Dr. Thomas Richard at 667 Corporate Drive, the hospital was purchased by Dr. Melinda Knight in 1996. Dr. Knight has continued to build a reputation for delivering skilled, reliable, quality care while going above and beyond to accommodate her patients and their pet parents. We offer a complete array of animal health services including but not limited to dental care, dermatology, digital radiography, emergency services, heartworm testing, in-clinic diagnostics, laser therapy, microchipping, pharmacy, surgery, wellness, and preventative care.

Our goal at Bayou Cane Veterinary Hospital is to provide the finest of veterinary care to pets that are brought to our facilities, and to be kind and considerate to owners. As a privately owned, single doctor practice, we have the ability to do things our own way. We take our time getting to know each patient while making sure that you and your pet feel comfortable in our relaxed atmosphere.

We offer personal, one-on-one service based on your pet’s breed, age, health condition, and living environment. Throughout your visit, we will openly communicate about your pet’s condition and offer guidelines about your pet’s needs. The more you know as a pet owner, the better you will be able to provide the best care and bring health issues to our attention.

If you’re looking for convenient, quality healthcare for your furry family members, come by Bayou Cane Veterinary Hospital. We treat each patient with the same love and care that we give to our own pets. We look forward to having you join our family. Our services area includes Houma, Thibodeaux, Golden Meadow, Bourg, Raceland, Lockport, and everywhere in between.
